On February 27th, Pokémon will be 20 years old! The very first Pokémon games, Pokémon Red & Pokémon Green, were released in Japan on that date in 1996. Since then the franchise has continued to grow, through color, touch screens and now into 3D. Ive been playing since I could first get my hands on the games in 1999 and have been addicted to Pokémon ever since!
So today Im proud to unveil our special retro design! It features graphics and sprites from the original Western releases, Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue (although the sprites have been colored!). And in the spirit of PokemonDbs history weve gone back to a Scyther in the header 🙂
