A new Pokémon Presents has just aired, with many news snippets as well as a new game announcement and futher news on the upcomingPokémon Legends: Z-A, which will be released. The biggest news was the reveal of Mega Dragonite!
During the story of LZA, you will joinTeam MZwho protect Lumiose. As revealed previously there is a tournamentZ-A Royalethat takes place at night, and there appears to be an evil team called theRust Syndicate. As in the original X/Y games there is a big fashion focus and trainers can change their hairstyle and clothing.
Like Legends: Arceus, there are many side quests where you can help out other characters around the city, and do research on Pokémon. Another strand isRogue Mega Evolution, where wild Pokémon have been Mega-Evolving on their own and you must quell them. Among them is Mega Dragonite, which takes on features of Dragonair such as its small wings and pearl on its tail.
Also announced was a new puzzle game,Pokémon Friends. It consists of several small puzzles that can be completed daily; in return you earn yarn that can be crafted into Pokémon plush, which you can use to decorate your room in game. Its available now on iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch.
The video runs through many updates for the franchise, including the Pokémon World Championships, Pokémon Concierge TV series, a new animated series from Aardman calledThe Misadventures of Sirfetchd & Pichu, real-life theme park PokéPark Kanto, the arrival of Eternatus in Pokémon GO during the GO Fest Max Finale, Pokémon Masters, Pokémon Cafe ReMix, Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon Champions.
